long time no write, i'm cat sitting! i'm basically living at my best friend's house for two weeks, taking care of her cat and house plants. it feels a bit disorienting, being a homebody! her cat is super cute in his weird lazy, hairball puking ways (the puking is not cute). waking up to him meowing while circling my feet is very adorable though, it's like he's happy to see me still up and breathing. less than a week and i'll be back home, thank god i cleaned up a bit before i left. the only cat i have waiting there is my boxed estinien, poor thing still hasn't been taken out of its cardboard prison. i think my homecoming calls for making those sweet, sweet shrine pages. been a bit lazy holed up inside besides vacuuming, again, not good for my mood!! i need that fresh air, especially now that we're starting to see leaf buds in trees, the sun is setting after 10pm too. that's one thing i can't stand about summer, the sun is out all the goddamn time in this hemisphere. i have to turn my inner clock into waking up at noon again.
this time i'm not cheating and dating this post as the 8th, since i started typing this after midnight. tomorrow i'll draw more studio trigger gals, i'm thinking mako is next. been thinking about rewatching kill la kill and little witch academia lately. haven't watched their new gridman season yet since it's not exactly my speed, but for the trigger flare i'm more than ready to take a peek regardless. the designs look way more visually engaging than on first season too. also i somehow ended up marathoning summertime rendering in a few days... i don't have much to say about it, other than nagumo sensei is best character, great ost and quite a likable cast. nothing outstanding, but good enough entertainment.
over my stay here i've been making a lot of doodles in my journal, i feel like i finally found a working formula for faces that makes them work a lot easier. triangles are king, i say!! i really want to expand on this as its own blog post, i have a LOT to say regarding art... i don't feel like i'm too qualified to give art tips, but i really, really, REALLY love talking about observing art and what has made sense in creating for me. i have to jot this down to my journal as blog post ideas... and that's it for tonight! i was going to attach a photo from my walk the other day with a beautiful pink sky, but my bestie's pc doesn't want to open .heic files it seems, so i can't edit one to put here. AND i completely forgot to mention that wobbly elf has become the site mascot almost two weeks ago! with that, goodnight blog and reader, i missed writing even after a week!! ต(=ω=)ต
